There are multiple "rooms". I'm currently stuck in the cavern room. The environments are very well done, and the immersion is quite good. I don't know how long the game is, but since I bought it on sale, what I've seen so far makes me recommend it. Even though I'm not a big fan of puzzle games, I like it for the experience of the creepy (but not very scary) settings.. 7\/10Looks great, but doesn't make a massive amount of narrative sense. Also, I completed this in 20 minutes.. I had high hopes for this game, given that previous ones from the same author have been pretty good, but unfortunately it seems to have been released in a very buggy state indeed. In the first scene, I used the knife in what turned out to be the correct way, several times, but nothing happened, so I gave up on that idea and spent time trying to open the bag, search the body, open the panel, find more items, all unsuccessfully. Finally out of desperation, I tried the knife once again on the one item it does work on, and this time it worked. The next stage was straight forward, but then in the room after that with the moving pillars, I think the game broke. I had figured out the mechanics of moving the little orbs around to where I could get them, but on the part where you have to press the button to get them to drop, the button stopped doing anything after a while... at that point there was nothing left to do but quit the game.I also note other bugsThe green gems in the grid that move the pillars resulted in animation glitches, with the pillars jumping from position to position without animating. The gems move without needing to be gripped - this meant that I was moving them unknowingly when standing next to the panel. The first time I started the game the frame rate was terrible and there was no sound. Killing it and restarting resolved this.. For gameplay and hints:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NXln4ydDXoQHere's the basics:- Short, can beat it in about 20 minutes- Really cool environment in the first few sections, but can cause slowdown with all the foliage and effects- You leave that cool environment for a boring cave quickly- The main mechanic in the cave section is clunky and doesn't feel good- Nothing to difficult, just frustrating at partsIf the first section was the basis for the game, I'd be down to recommend. But the bulk is spent in a cave with lame mechanics. That, plus a really short amount of content, means I can't recommend it.. I'm so confused. I have taken to the internet to find out if this game is really only 10 minutes long or if I'm missing something.First time booting it up i got stuck on the second scene. I probably spent 20 minutes searching through everything to see what I was missing. I decided that something must be wrong, so I restarted the game and sure enough there were significant key items that never loaded the first time around. The actual game took probably 10 minutes tops, then the screen went white for another 2 minutes before the "You escaped" showed up. Very very confused if that was the full game or I just glitched to the end or something. At least it was cheap.... Q\/A I have been been in this cage every day since I purchase this game. Is there a way out? I been on youtube looking for a video for answers.... Introducing Hovercars, Space Elevators, Serpent isle, and more! Content Drop 1 has arrived!: Great news: Content Drop 1 is here! And with it, Aven Colony is getting 11 new buildings, a new sandbox map ... and a whole new transportation system! We're thrilled to introduce the newest addition to Aven Colony hovercars! The new Hovercar Station building automatically links to any other Hovercar Stations you build nearby. Now, you can not only solve your colonists' commute problems, but you can do it in style, by giving them swanky levitating hovercar vehicles to fly all around the colony!(See our Twitter announcement and follow-up for full-size screenshots)Content Drop 1 also brings a massive new Space Elevator. While quite expensive, this elevator provides a literal stairway to heaven, connecting your colony all the way to outer space using a massive carbon nanotube cable. The elevator that rides it massively increases your colony's storage capacity while also docking directly with the orbiting Colony Ship to allow you to bring in large numbers of new colonists. There's also a new tool to help your colony deal with plague spores: the Decontamination Unit! Just place one of these next to one or more tunnel tiles, and it will serve as a firewall, spraying a decontamination liquid that kills plague spore microbes and disinfects any infected colonists. On top of all that, there are 8 new decoration buildings that help you make your colony even more beautiful while also improving morale. Finally, this update also brings a brand new sandbox map: Serpent Isle! This is a beautiful desert island in the middle of Aven Prime's great northern sea, and is a uniquely challenging colony location due to its relatively low levels of geothermal vents and farmable cropland. Look closely and you can spot a number of creatures unique to this remote part of Aven Prime. We also have a number of tuning tweaks and optimizations in this update. As a quick note: please bear in mind that we have much more in store for Aven Colony. As we go forward, we want to make sure that we focus our development on new maps, new buildings, and new gameplay modes that add as much value as possible. It should be clear from the new features listed above that everything we've added fills a gameplay hole or otherwise addresses key gameplay issues while also giving you tools to make your colonies look even cooler. We have a BIG long-term vision for what Aven Colony can be, and we need your help to get it there. We are laser-focused on making sure that every new feature we add makes the game more fun, makes your colonies more beautiful, gives you more tools as a colony governor, and gets Aven Colony that much closer to where we see it in the future. Here are the detailed descriptions for each new building and the full list of new features:Hovercar Stations. Competition mode will add a display of the current score to the top left corner, will lock the sandbox map settings to their defaults, and will automatically end the game after 10 sols. It will also display the time remaining in the lower right corner. If you stream Aven Colony, this will be a great way to test your Aven Colony colony-management chops against other streamers ;)To run Competition Mode, just add the line "CompetitionMode=1" as a command line parameter via Steam:Then, run the game and open any sandbox map.
